Altiora Life Educators Network (ALEN) is a formation institution and school network working within Uganda's secondary schools and communities. We were founded on a conviction that the crisis facing the next generation is not primarily academic — it is a crisis of formation. Young people need emotional foundations, spiritual grounding, and a sense of identity and purpose to navigate adolescence and grow into grounded, compassionate leaders.
Our name, Altiora, is drawn from the Latin meaning "higher things" or "greater heights." It reflects our conviction that every young person carries the capacity for growth, purpose, leadership, and transformation — when supported by the right environment, the right people, and the right formation. Our four programmes — I RISE, EQUIP, LEAD, and ROOTS — form the whole village around every child.
